ETPA (Energy Trading Platform Amsterdam) is a Dutch company specializing in short-term electricity trading to support the transition to a more sustainable future. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Amsterdam, ETPA offers an independent and transparent platform for intraday, ex-post, and congestion management trades. This enables participants—including producers, consumers, flex suppliers, and traders—to optimize their energy portfolios and leverage flexibility in production processes.

The platform is accessible to companies with a minimum capacity of 0.1 MW, promoting inclusivity for both large and small entities. ETPA's automated continuous order book and intraday market provide liquidity to the short-term electricity market, facilitating efficient and cost-effective trading without the need for a clearing bank.

In July 2022, ETPA was granted Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO) status, authorizing it to operate as a pan-European intraday energy exchange. This certification allows ETPA to access the Joint European Order Book (XBID), enhancing market liquidity and competitiveness across Europe. To support its international growth, ETPA secured €5 million in funding from SET Ventures and ABN AMRO Sustainable Impact Fund.

By making energy trading faster and more accessible, ETPA contributes to a flexible energy system capable of integrating higher levels of renewable energy, thereby playing a crucial role in the energy transition.
